Liepaja Business Advisory Service Centre (UAC) was established in 1994 and is supported by the Latvian Ministry of Economics and the European Union PHARE-Program.

It is the first Latvian National Business Consultant Company, which provides advices in Latvian economy, markets, industries, investment possibilities and Latvian and International Legislation system.

UAC offers information about local, national and international sources of business development through various partners – Latvian Development Agency, Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Universities – and works in close contact with the Bank of Latvia and several insurance companies.

Liepaja - the 3^rd city of Latvia is situated in the Western part of the country, on the Baltic Sea.

Since 1997 Liepaja is Special Economic Zone ( the Law of " Liepaja Special Economic Zone" ). This law creates a special economic territory: the port of Liepaja, the airport and the industrial areas. The goal of the SEZ is to improve the conditions for business activity in Liepaja, to attract foreign investment, to create new jobs and to promote trade, shipping and air traffic by a very favourable tax regime.
